Joy Deana (Snow) McGuire
 April 10, 1937 ~ February 6, 2025

Joy Deana Snow McGuire 87 year old Vinita resident passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Miami Integris Hospital. She was born April 10, 1937 in Braggs Oklahoma to Chester Snow and Dana E Reece. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1958.

She married Raymond Eugene McGuire on January 1, 1959 at First Baptist Church in Muskogee OK. They lived in Muskogee, Ok, Pocola, OK and Caney Kansas during Ray’s early teaching career before moving to Vinita in the 1960’s where they raised their family and lived until her death. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Vinita.

Joy enjoyed working for CR Anthony’s and worked there until her retirement to care for her husband Ray. There was nothing that brought Joy more happiness than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joy enjoyed reading, watching OU football and OKC Thunder basketball and well as listening to worship music and her and Raymond's favorite singer Johnny Mathis.

She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Dana Reece Adam, Aunt and Uncle Lee & Wanda Pray (Muskogee), Aunt Bertie Horn (Muskogee) and Aunt & Uncle Bernard and Edith O’Neill (Ft. Worth, TX) Mother and father in law William and Helen McGuire (West Jefferson, OH), Sister & Brother in laws Gerry and Junior Haley (West Jefferson OH), Jim and Eilenne McGuire ( Columbus OH) and Roberta Haley (Deleon Springs FL). Son Mark Eugene McGuire (Claremore), Grandson Brettan Howard McGuire (Norman OK) and Great Granddaughter Amelia Rae McGuire.

Surviving family include:

Son, Raymond Dale and Annette McGuire of Fairland, OK

Daughter Karla K. McGuire Nemecek and Greg of Moore, OK

Daughter in law Jamie McGuire of Catoosa, OK

Sister in Law Patricia Hanson (Florida)

and numerous cousins in Ohio and Florida.

Grandchildren:

Jacob McGuire (Fairland), Jadra McGuire (Wyandotte)

Trinity, Bethany, Zackary, and Nathanael McGuire (Catoosa)

Charity McGuire (Claremore)

Lauren Nemecek and fiancé Harrison Barber (Oklahoma City)

Great Grand Children: Arianna Elizabeth McGuire and Lila Claire McGuire (Jefferson City Missouri). Beckam Wyatt Tilley (Claremore)

Per Joy’s request family and friends will hold a gathering later this spring at Greenleaf State Park in Braggs, OK where she had many good memories growing up.
