Donald James McGuire

Feb. 22, 1924 ~ May 20, 2002

VELMA - Donald James McGuire, 78, of Velma died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Westside Free Will Baptist Church in Sapulpa with the Rev. Millard McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa.

Mr. McGuire was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Kellyville to James Clarence and Ruby Fay Campbell McGuire.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, and he was a member of the Pipe Fitters Local Union No. 430.

Survivors include two sons, Donnie L. McGuire of Victorville, Calif., and Gary D. McGuire of Taylorville, Ill.; two daughters, Mary H. Stalans of McLeansboro, Ill., and Donna Lynn Fairchild of Eufaula; a brother, William 'Bill' McGuire of Velma; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
