William Irvin "Bill" McGee
March 27, 1958 ~ September 12, 2020

William “Bill” Irvin McGee, age 62 of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born on March 27, 1958 in Vandalia, Illinois to Carl and Velma (Probst) McGee. Bill passed away on September 12, 2020 at his home in Guthrie.

Bill graduated from Vandalia High School in 1976. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Staff Sergeant (E-5).

Bill had been living in Guthrie for the last 20 years. He was a member of Waterloo Road Baptist Church where he worked the sound and lights at for several years. Bill was well known in the Guthrie community for his job at ACE Hardware and for his work at Guthrie Haunts. He was an electrical expert and all-around hardware guru. He was always willing to help anybody with any problem. Bill was a big OSU fan and loved spending time with his grandbabies.

Survivors include his wife Cassie McGee, daughter Jennifer Lynn Lueb and husband Brian of Aurora, Colorado, daughter Sarah Henry and husband Matthew of Stillwater, sister Brenda Burtschi of Vandalia, Illinois, sister Barbara Bolyard of Vandalia, Illinois, sister Dita Eyman of Valdalia, Illinois and his three grandbabies: William “Cai” McGee, Matthew Henry, and Samson Henry. Bill is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Waterloo Road Baptist Church with Rev. Griff Henderson officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
