Sharon Kay McGee
May 4, 1954 ~ March 29, 2018

Sharon Kay McGee of Durant, OK was born on May 4, 1954 in Lawton, OK to Wilson McGee (a full blood Chickasaw) and Rena Belle Williamson (a full blood Choctaw). Sharon was called to eternal rest on Thursday, March 29, 2018, after a long battle with liver cancer.

Sharon was married to Nelson Moore of Duncan, OK, and had two children; DeAnna Moore and Jerod Moore.

Sharon was a proud and active member of the Dist. 9, Choctaw Seniors Group.

Sharon was a graduate of Duncan High School. A graduate of Haskell Junior College and was accepted to Berkley Law School in California.

Sharon is preceded in death by; her father, Wilson McGee; her mother, Rena Belle McGee and her sister, Sandra Darlene Spencer.

Surviving family members are her daughter, DeAnna Moore of Durant, OK; son, Jerod Moore of Greenville, TX; brothers, Luther McGee of Duncan, OK and Arthur McGee of Missouri; sisters, Gloria McGee of Tulsa, OK, Sherie McGee of Tulsa, OK and Carla (Kelly) McGee; five grandchildren, Alicia Moore, Skye Moore, Macy Moore, Brandon Moore and Tre Moore along with many loved nieces, nephews, friends, family, and cousins.

Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant with Pat Blagg officiating. Family will accept friends Saturday at 2:00 PM. Cremation to follow.

Services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
