Calvin McFrazier

Calvin McFrazier
December 19, 1942 ~ May 3, 2026

Calvin McFrazier, known to many simply as Calvin, was born on December 19, 1942, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and passed away on May 3, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 from natural causes.

He was the son of Reverend Thomas McFrazier and Kathryn McFrazier. Calvin was a devoted husband to his wife, Carol, and a loving father to his sons, Jay McFrazier, Eric McFrazier and daughter Rhanora Beasley.

Calvin attended Manuel Training High School before answering the call to serve his country. After graduating from high school, he joined the Army and trained to be an LPN. Following his training, he was deployed to Vietnam, where he served two tours at a field hospital. His service also took him to Germany. Calvin retired from the Army in 1980 after 20 years of honorable service, having dedicated much of his life to caring for others in demanding and often difficult circumstances.

After his military retirement, Calvin continued his commitment to helping people by enrolling at Cameron University to become a registered nurse. He went on to work for more than 20 years at Memorial Hospital, where his compassion, skill, and professionalism made a lasting difference in the lives of patients, coworkers, and the community he served. Calvin approached his work with humility and purpose, and he was respected for the calm presence and dependable care he brought to every role he held.

In his free time, Calvin enjoyed listening to classic soul music, watching Westerns, and cheering for Sooner football. These simple pleasures brought him joy and reflected the easygoing, faithful spirit that those around him cherished. He valued time spent in familiar routines, and he found comfort in the music, stories, and traditions he loved.

Calvin McFrazier leaves behind a legacy of service, devotion, and quiet strength. His life was marked by honor in military service, dedication in nursing, faith in God, and love for his family. He will be remembered with gratitude and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
