Chloie Marie (Kennedy) McFall

Chloie Marie (Kennedy) McFall
March 29, 1922 ~ June 30, 2019

Chloie Marie Kennedy McFall, 97, of Houston, died June 30, 2019 at the home of her daughter, Mary Ann McFall. She was born March 29, 1922 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, to Thomas A. and Mary Young Kennedy. The family moved to the Pocasset, Oklahoma community where she grew up and attended school. After graduation, she attended nursing school at Wesley Hospital in Oklahoma City. Upon certification as a Registered Nurse, she worked at a hospital in Tulsa. While working there as an RN, she met M.G. (Buddy) McFall. Later, they married and moved to Alice, Texas.

Throughout their marriage, they moved numerous times, as the oil equipment company, Camco, needed them. Their moves included several cities in Texas, Louisiana, Venezuela, Lagos Nigeria, and Brunei, south east Asia. She taught art to several classes of handicapped children, and also worked as school nurse at Huffman Elementary, Jr High and High School. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and being with friends and family. She was an inspiration to all who came in contact with her for her compassion, care and selflessness. As a member of Houston First Baptist Church, she freely shared her faith. That strong faith, and God’s grace, carried her safely through all of her life experiences.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy; parents, Thomas A. Kennedy and Mary Young Kennedy; six brothers and three sisters.
