Leota Mae (Dveney) McDaniel

August 04, 1927 ~ September 07, 2017

Memorial services for Leota Mae McDaniel, 90, of Atwood are pending.

Mrs. McDaniel passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at a Holdenville hospital. She was born August 4, 1927 at Seminole to Dick and Zelma Phillips Dveney. She and her family moved to the Stonewall area in 1940 and she attended school at Hardin City. She graduated from Ada High School.

She married James Walter McDaniel in 1938 at Durant. He preceded her in death. Mrs. McDaniel was a homemaker and affiliated with the Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Darryl Hester, Jack Hester and wife Nancy and Rick Hester and wife Becky; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Dveney and wife Linda; and sister, Linda Farris and husband Mark

She was preceded in death by her husband, James McDaniel; her parents; and three sisters, Betty Bush, Wanda Newland and Nancy Pendergraft.
