October 28, 1937 ~ March 27, 2023

Donald Gene McCutchen, age 85, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home with his family March 27, 2023.

Don was born in Gainesville Texas on October 28, 1937 to his father, George McCutchen and mother Dorothy “Midge” Hewitt.

Don and his mother moved to Madill, Oklahoma when Don was in elementary school, growing up among his extended family with his mother, grandmother and cousins. Don was passionate about the outdoors. He spent his childhood hunting, fishing, camping and water sports. After graduating from Madill High School Don enlisted in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, California and served his duty on an Aircraft Carrier in the Pacific Ocean and was a Golden Gloves boxer.

After completing his military service, Don moved back to Madill, where he met Wanda Breeding. The two moved to Oklahoma City in 1960. Don enrolled in Oklahoma State where he pursued a degree in Electrical/Design Engineering and Wanda enrolled in Cosmetology school.

After retirement, he and Wanda moved to the Lake Texoma area, where they always stayed active in outdoor activities, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with their children and grandchildren on the lake and faith.

Don had a quiet demeanor, but strong in faith. He deeply loved his wife, spending time with his family, was passionate about his country and life outdoors. Don was always a faithful friend, he will be deeply missed.
