Raymond Duncan McCoy

Raymond Duncan McCoy
December 30, 1924 ~ July 7, 2016

Raymond Duncan McCoy, age 91, passed away on July 7, 2016 at his home in Kingsland, Texas, with his wife Barbara at his side. Ray was born December 30, 1924 in Newberg OR, the son of Ned T. McCoy and Margaret Grace (Duncan) McCoy. Ray was a Navy veteran who served in the Pacific arena during WWII. After earning his PhD in chemistry from the University of Oregon, Ray and Barbara moved to Bartlesville, OK in 1955. Ray was granted patents related to oil production systems during his career as a physical chemist and marketing specialist for Phillips Petroleum Co. and Applied Automation.

On Ray's retirement in 1985, he and Barbara moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, and recently to Kingsland, Texas. Ray and Barbara celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2016. Ray is survived by three daughters, Jennifer McCoy and husband Tom Chapel of Atlanta, GA; Suzanne LaCroix and husband Mike LaCroix of Minneapolis, MN; and Nancy Tabb and husband David Tabb of Kingsland, TX; seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Barbara is in residence at 216 Covenant Lane #402, Kingsland TX 78639.
