Jim McClendon

February 16, 1945 ~ October 28, 2021

HENNESSEY - Memorial services for Jim McClendon, 76 will be at 11:00 AM Thursday November 4, 2021 at First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. P. J. Stewart. Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Jim was born in Oklahoma City on February 16, 1945 to Leroy and Josephine McClendon and died Thursday October 28, 2021 at his home west of Hennessey.

He attended school in Haworth, OK and graduated in 1963. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1967. He went on to receive his justice degree from the OU School of Law in 1970. He enlisted in the Army in 1970. He was honorably discharged as a Major.

Jim practiced law in Broken Bow from 1970-2005.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl McClendon, daughter, Carey Gragg and husband Willie, brother-in-law, Raymond Campbell, and two grandsons, Jesse and Hayden Roden.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, twin sister, Jo Campbell, and sister June Aina.
