Charles David Hilton McClain was born March 6, 1956 in Durant, Oklahoma to Robert “Bob” McClain and Pauline Mildred (Brown) McClain. He passed from this life on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 66.

Charles was a life-long resident of Durant and worked as a welder most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, watching Western shows and old movies. He also enjoyed listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan and the blues.

Charles was preceded in death by parents; a son, Casey Dillingham; grandson, Jordan McClain; and brother, Bobby Joe McClain.

He is survived by his children, Mandy Stephens and her husband, Glenn, of Mead, OK, Shelby McClain and his wife, Jess, of Antlers, OK, David McClain of Antlers, OK, and John Arnold of Durant; brothers, Terry Mechalske, Rick Plank and Jimmy Plank; grandchildren, Cory Stephens (Maria), Caleb Stephens (Reagan), Haylee Hoskins (Dakota), Madison McClain, Jayden McClain, Kaydence Dillingham and Kasey Arnold; step-grandchildren, Serenity, Mercedes, Haven, McKenzie, Bentley, Dylan and Tatum; nine great-grandchildren; and special family and friends, David and Janice Williams, and Kim Farrell.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 30th, at New Life Assembly of God Church in Calera with Pastor Stephen Biggerstaff officiating.
