Martha Emma (Doverspike) McCarty

September 19, 1927 ~ November 4, 2011

Martha Emma McCarty, age 84 of Choctaw, Oklahoma died November 4, 2011 in Oklahoma City. She was born September 19,1927 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to William and Ida Doverspike.

Martha grew up in Wynnewood and SW Oklahoma City. She married in 1950 and moved to southern California soon after where she lived for 28 years while raising two sons. In 1980 she moved back to Oklahoma City where she lived until her passing.

Martha is survived by her husband of 27 years Vernon of Choctaw, two sons Michael Mason of Oklahoma City and Gordon Mason of Newberry Springs California, two daughter in laws Quirina Mason of Oklahoma City and Pamela Mason of Newberry Springs, 5 grandchildren Veronica Cheney and William Mason of Barstow California, Vanessa Lemons and Sherry Mason of Oklahoma city and Daniel Mason of Lake Havasu Arizona and seven Great grandchildren.

A reception will follow the service at the American Legion Post 170, 8608 NE 10th St., Midwest City, OK.
