Jerry McCarty

February 16, 1947 ~ June 17, 2005

Jerry McCarty, 58, passed away June 17, 2005 in Lubbock, Texas.

Mr. McCarty was born February 16, 1947 on the family farm in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Leonard and Lois McCarty.

He graduated from Verden High School in 1965 and Oklahoma State Tech in 1967.

On July 18, 1969 he married Sherry Waters in Andrews.

They raised their three children in northern Colorado as Mr. McCarty worked for Cummins Diesel for 28 years.

He retired in 1998 and moved back to Chickasha, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and treasured his time with the family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by Sherry McCarty, his sons Matthew and Nathan of Greeley, Colorado, his daughter Charity of Lubbock and three grandsons.

Services will be Tuesday June 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
