Rhonda Sharon (Spring) McCaig

Rhonda Sharon (Spring) McCaig
January 30, 1955 ~ September 28, 2020

On September 28, 2020, Rhonda S. McCaig left her earthly home and was escorted by angels into her eternal home in Heaven. Rhonda was born on January 30, 1955 to Sherman and Wanda Spring.

She worked at TBC Call Center for 10 years and did bookkeeping on the side for many years. On June 21, 1997, she married David L. McCaig and they have spent the last 23 years doing life together. She had a passion for being the life of the party, whether it was ballroom dancing or serving food and drinks at her church. She had an infectious smile and a contagious laugh, never met a stranger, and was a friend to all.

Rhonda loved to do crafts and was always working on a project to give away to someone. She was active in her church, always serving others. She crocheted scarves for the homeless, baked cakes and goodies for Mobile Meals, served food and drinks at fellowships and helped to minister to those who had lost family members of their own. She taught Sunday school for years. Rhonda loved to be in the woods with David for hunting season. Even at home, she always had an open door policy… The more, the merrier! Family and friends who knew her well would say that she was the kindest most generous person they know – always listening to others, and giving advice when needed the most.

Rhonda will always be remembered by her husband and best friend, David; brother, Greg Spring; son, Jeremy Spring; 2 step-sons, Travis and Troy (wife Catherine); step-daughter, Abby Brand (husband John); Aunt Diane and Uncle Joe Holt and uncle Ron Spring; grandchildren: Kiyana, Kiyra, Kyrstin, Taylor, and Zach; plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind countless friends who loved her very much.

The family would like to thank Oklahoma Palliative and Hospice Care for the extraordinary care that has been given during this time. A special “thank you” to her nurse, Melissa, for being the person you are – so thoughtful and caring, going above and beyond what was ever thought possible.
