Donald Roy McCage

March 26, 1940 ~ July 19, 2018

Memorial services for Donald Roy McCage, 78, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Foust & Son Funeral Home, Grapevine, Texas.

Born March 26, 1940 in Marietta, the son of Ruby Jo Northcutt McCage and Burton McCage, he died Thursday, July 19, 2018.

Don attended Thackerville High School and graduated as valedictorian of his high school class. He moved to Dallas and worked at Mrs. Baird’s Bakeries for 37 years. Upon retirement, he moved to Kingston to be near Lake Texoma. He loved fishing and being near the water. While retired, he opened and operated Rosie’s convenience store for five years in Madill. For the last 11-1/2 years of his life, he cared for his wife Rosie after she suffered a major debilitating stroke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joe McCage and Jim McCage.

Survivors include his wife Rosie McCage; four daughters, Donna Hacker and husband Basil Hacker, Debbie McCage, Lisa Keglovitz and Martin Woods, and Denna Garrison; two brothers, Charles “Shorty” McCage and wife Judy and Dave McCage and wife Barb; two sisters, Pam Pearman and husband Don and Betty Barnes; five grandchildren, Mandy Hacker Davis, Basil Hacker Jr., Jamie Hacker, Jon Michael Garrison Jr. and Holly Kristine Pino; and great-grandchildren, Kaesyn Davis, Riyen Davis, Ashlynn Garrison, Zoe Pino, Zayda Pino and Jon David Pino.
