Kenneth Neil Mayfield

Kenneth Neil Mayfield was born December 4, 1941 to Joseph William and Dora Emma (Evans) Mayfield in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

Kenneth attended Cheyenne School attending until the 9th grade.  Kenneth from school he went to working on the farm.

Kenneth and Ellen Doreen (Gettle) Mayfield were united in marriage on June 27, 1965 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma,  to this union two children were born, Diana and Deborah.

Kenneth spent his time raising different farm animals, cows, chickens, peacocks, and horses.

Kenneth spent most of his life around Cheyenne and Arnett area, working on the farm, on the farm helping neighbors, and friends in the area.

Kenneth enjoyed playing a good game of dominoes, or card games, hunting, fishing, and camping with his beloved wife, children, and grand chilodren.  

Kenneth suddenly left his earthly homed on March 25, 2014 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.  

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ralph Mayfield and Albert Mayfield.  

Kenneth is survived  by his beloved wife Ellen Doreen Mayfield, daughters Diana and husband Ricky Kraus of Arnett, Oklahoma, Deborah and husband Ronnie Kraus, Shattuck, Oklahoma, sister, Ollie Ruth Williams, of Wister, Oklahoma two brothers Clifford Mayfield of Tucumcari, New Mexico and Robert Mayfield of Mobeetie, Texas, 5 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service were held 2:00 PM Monday March 31, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Cheyenne with Pastor Jacob Russell officiating.  Pallbearers were Family Members; under the direction of Wilkinson Funeral Service.
