Carl William Mayfield

February 18, 1929 ~ March 29, 2017

Carl William Mayfield was born on February 18, 1929, in Arlington, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 88.

Carl, the son of Ora and Beulah (Rodebush) Mayfield, was a resident of Tecumseh. Carl married Carrol Pleasant on May 11, 1957 in Sapulpa. He was a high school graduate with the Tulsa Daniel Webster Class of 1947.

Carl's parents and sister preceded him in death.

Carl is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carrol, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Dan Davis of Edmond, Cheryl and Jeff Meshew of Shawnee; grandchildren, Julia and Paul Wright of Broken Arrow, Jenna and Curt Potts of Oklahoma City, Sarah and Benton Demeter of Noble, Jennifer and Dylan Terry of Edmond; great grandchildren, Molly Wright of Broken Arrow, Zoey Wright of Broken Arrow, Brooklyn Demeter of Noble, Elayna Demeter of Noble, Leo Demeter of Noble, Delanie Terry of Edmond, Hawk Terry of Edmond; nephew and wife, Hank and Linda Sumpter, many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Mark Wright officiating.
