Donald Lewis Mauk

Donald Lewis Mauk
June 6, 1936 - Novmber 6, 2015

Donald Lewis Mauk, lifelong resident of Ponca City, passed Friday, November 6, 2015 at his home. He was 79 years of age.

Donald was born June 6, 1936 in Ponca City, the son of Harley Zachary Mauk and Bessie Margaret (Cobler) Mauk. He attended the Ponca City Schools. Donald served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharge in February of 1962. He was married to Peggy Rhoades on January 14, 1956 in Ponca City. The couple would have been married 60 years this coming January. Donald was a pipe fitter by trade and was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union - Local 430.

His enjoyments were his grandchildren, his dogs, following Oklahoma football teams, horse racing, helping others and was known for his joke telling.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, of the home; three sons, Donnie Mauk, David Mauk and Tim Mauk, all of Ponca City; eight grandchildren, Amber Mauk, Tiffany Gifford and husband Drew, Brandon Mauk, Ashley Montgomery and husband Sonny, David Cole Mauk, Timber Mauk, Ryan Mauk and J.J. Payne; nine great grandchildren; special friends in Floyd Robertson, Bob Allen and Chuck Martin; other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Harley and Bessie Mauk; one son, Terry Dale Mauk; two brothers, Jim Mauk and Jerry Mauk.

At Mr. Mauk's request there will not be a funeral or memorial service held.
