Robert Eugene Mattingly

Robert Eugene Mattingly
October 29, 1953 ~ March 23, 2024

Robert Eugene Mattingly passed from this life on March 23, 2024, at 70 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bob was born on October 29, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Othal Andrew and Anna Lou (Hall) Mattingly. He grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he received his education, attending Charles Page and Central High School. Following high school, Bob soon began working at J and H Industries, later at Jim Engineering, and then for Webco, before retiring due to health issues.

Bob was a man of many talents, some of which included painting, ceramics, riding Harleys, cooking good, hearty food, and enjoying nature walks in the breeze. He also loved going on adventures and eating with his daughter, Lillian. Watching shows and movies with his son Steven was memorable, as was spending every second he could with his grandkids. Taking the time to go fishing with his kids was also a great experience. Making model cars and dioramas were things Bob liked doing. Watching westerns and TV shows was also a pastime. Bob was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching the games on Sunday.

Survivors include his two children, Steven Mattingly and his wife Becky of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Lillian Mattingly of Mannford, Oklahoma; three siblings, Gail Mattingly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Harold Ray Mattingly of North Carolina, Linda Mattingly of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren William, Constance, Kathrine and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. Friends and family may visit Robert's online guest book and memorial page at www.chapman-black.com.
