Barbara Lou Mathis

Barbara Lou Mathis 62, of Ramona, Oklahoma passed away Thursday the 20th of March 2014. Barbara was born August 23rd 1951 in Sallisaw Oklahoma. Married Sam Mathis August 17,1971 at Claremore, Oklahoma. She attended NSU at Tahlequah, Oklahoma where she received her associates degree. They moved to Ramona Oklahoma in 1976 where they made their home. She began working for Jane Phillips Medical Center as a scheduling secretary in surgery for 18 years.

Barbara is survived by; her husband Sam Mathis of home; two daughters Melissa "Lissa" Trottingwolf, her husband Darryl of Ramona; Gwynne Brock, her husband Ryan of Owasso; four grandchildren Aime Trottingwolf, Rachel Trottingwolf, Colton Brock and Madelyn Brock; her parents Bruton and Flo Bennett of Bartlesville formerly Vian Oklahoma. Barbara was a fearless and strong willed woman who loved her family so very much. She gave her life to God many years ago and is now in Glory. She was a blessed daughter, wife, mother and Nana.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Steve Griffin of Cornerstone Hospice officiating.

A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Barbara may do so to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908. Friends who wish may sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org.
