Myra Louise (Beckman) Mathewson


April 18, 1922 ~ March 25, 2016

Myra Louise Mathewson, 93, of Bridge Creek, died, Friday, March 25, 2016 in Tuttle. The daughter of Eugene Beckman and Nellie Marie (Chappuis) Beckman, she was born April 18, 1922 in Lodi, California.

Myra was a special education teacher and worked for the San Bernardino, California School District for 20 years, before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle. In her spare time, Myra enjoyed gardening, reading, and quilting. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Norman Beckman and Allan Beckman.

Myra is survived by two daughters, Ginny Tripp and her husband, Jim, of Bridge Creek, and Janet Lewien and her husband, Jerry, of St. Charles, Missouri; one son, Louis Rucker and his wife, Ginger, of Edmond; six grandchildren, Eddie Rucker and his wife, Patti, of Newalla, Chris Tripp and his wife, Shawn, of Tuttle, Rob Tripp and his wife, Donita, of Bridge Creek, Lisa Rees and her husband, Mark, of Wentzville, Missouri, Katie Bolin of Yukon, and David Lewien and his wife, Tish, of Springfield, Missouri; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Beckman of Lodi, California; and many other loved ones and friends.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Memorial donations may be made in Myra�s name to the Alzheimer�s Association at www.alz.org., Five Acres Animal Shelter at www.fiveacresanialshelter.org, or to Snow Hill Baptist Church, 11 South Morgan Road, Tuttle, OK 73089.
