George S. Mason, 90, of The Villages, Florida, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at The Villages Regional Hospital.
Born in Burneyville in 1930 to Paul and Trudy Mason, he was one of 12 children.
George served in the USAR, Control Group. After his military service, he moved to Anchorage, Alaska and owned Government Hill Auto Parts. In his later years, he moved to Seattle, and then to Modesto, California where he owned Yosemite Auto Parts until he retired. He married Bertha Knox Mason and they had a daughter, Julie M Hillskemper Mason. He later married Betty Lemons Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Bertha and Betty; sisters, Mary, Betty and Eloise; and brothers, Paul Jr., JB, Vernon and Gary.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie and grandson Logan; sisters, Edith and Joy; brothers, Mack and Benny; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
