Thomas Jefferson Martin
September 20, 1926 ~ March 25, 2021 (age 94)

Thomas Jefferson Martin, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on March 25, 2021 at the age of 94. He was the son of D. E. Martin and Rose (Farrell) Martin born in Alyesworth, Oklahoma on September 20, 1926. Family hour will be from 6-8:00 PM on Friday April 2, 2021 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday April 3, 2021 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating.

Thomas loved to fish. He could often be found working on a mower or car. Thomas like to pick up pecans and find wild onions. He enjoyed watching westerns and aggravating his neighbors.

Mr. Martin is survived by his children, Jewell Ghan of Durant, Oklahoma, Darlene Smith of Indiana, Jerry (Sonny) Wayne Martin and wife Edna of San Antonio, Texas, David Roy Martin and wife Judy of Amarillo, Texas, Freddie Ray Matin and wife Mona of Durant, Oklahoma, Jackie Lee Martin, granddaughters, Mary Sanders, and Velma Utsey both of Durant, Oklahoma, and survived by numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, D.E. and Rose Martin, sons, Allen (Doc) and Thomas (Bimbo), also preceded in death by his grandson’s Jinks Martin, Freddie Martin, great-grandson, along with brothers and sisters.
