Rodney Leon 'Rod' Martin

May 28, 1954 ~ July 28, 2009

Rodney Leon Martin 'Rod', 55, of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away July 28, 2009 at his home. He was born May 28, 1954 in Athens, Tennessee to Horace Leon and Lillie Iris (Phillips) Martin-Keaton. Rod was a graduate of Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL.

He married Donna Garner on November 17, 1973 in Port Orange, FL.

Rod spent 14 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force and worked 17 years Civil Service at Tinker A.F.B.

He was a handy man and enjoyed hunting, golfing, riding motorcycles and playing with his grandchildren. Rod was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna; children: Delicia, Phillip, Rachel; daughter-in-law, Angie; son-in-law, Joey; grandchildren: Decklin, Holden, Drake and Aubrie; stepfather, Marlin; stepmother, Sarah; siblings: Terry, Jimmy, Sandy, Randy, Kim, Jerry, Tommy and Tony; stepbrother, Jimmy and stepsister, Jenice.

The family would like to receive friends for visitation 6-8 pm on Friday, July 31, 2009.
