James Edward Drake Martin

James Edward Drake Martin the son of Eddie Martin and Angela (Ross) Kohl was born July 6, 2001, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 28, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 20 years and 22 days.

Drake was an easy-going young man who enjoyed life. He loved his family dearly, especially his nieces. He loved sports whether he was playing or just cheering on his teams; the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings. He enjoyed spending time with his family and hanging out with his friends, especially his cousin Christian. Drake served the Lord and was a member of the Stilwell Church of Christ. Drake made a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather James Brown, whom he was named after, and his maternal great-grandmother Lottie Pritchett.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his parents Angela Kohl and husband Michael of Vian and Eddie Martin and wife Beth of Cookson; his sister Julea' Merriott and husband Matt of Broken Arrow; his brother Dylan Martin of Stilwell; his step-brothers Rhett Kohl and Derek Kohl of Alma and Caisen Green and Colt Green of Cookson; his step-sister Bristol Green of Cookson; his nieces Mila Merriott and Paxtyn Martin; his grandparents Jr. and Beverly Ross of Stilwell and Jackie Bob and Delores Martin of Stilwell; his maternal great grandmother Ruby Brown of Baron; his aunts and uncles Brian Ross and Michele Ross of Jenks, Micah Martin of Los Angeles, and Marlena Guthrie and husband Terry of Jacksonville, FL; and his cousins Christian Ross, Tyler Guthrie and Torrey Guthrie. Numerous friends and other relatives also survive him.
