Katie Martens

Sept. 15, 1908 ~ June 8, 2002

CLAYTON, N.M. - Katie Martens, 93, died Saturday, June 8, 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Martens was born on a farm between Hardesty, Okla., and Hooker, Okla., on Sept. 15, 1908, to David D. Martens and Mary (Wiens) Martens. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clayton.

Survivors include numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, 223 Oak St., Clayton, N.M. 88415; or to SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation, 419 Harding St., Clayton, N.M. 88415.
