It is with deep sadness that the family of Ralph Ray Marshall announce his peaceful passing on October 11, 2025, in Arizona City, Ariz. Ray was 78 years old. Born in San Jose, Calif., on June 21, 1947, Ray grew up in Newark, Calif., and attended Newark High School, eventually moving to Shawnee, Okla., where he lived most of his adult life until moving to Arizona after retirement.
Throughout his four decades career as a driver in the trucking industry, Ray Marshall was known for his dedication and professionalism, winning Million Mile Safety awards during his long-haul driving career.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tom Arthur Marshall and Mary Elizabeth (Sloan) Marshall, brothers Terry Marshall and Tommy Marshall.
Ray is survived by his life partner Judy Wensmann of Arizona City, his sister Sondra Wilson and brother-in-law Jack Wilson of Arizona City, his four children, Thomas Marshall of South Dakota, Samantha Marshall of Stillwater, Okla., Michele Marshall House and husband Cole House of Stillwater, Okla., and Daniel Sloan Marshall and wife Casey Marshall of Arcadia, Okla. Ray was especially proud of and adored his two grandchildren, Gavin and Erin Moore of Stillwater.
In retirement Ray enjoyed woodworking, classic Western Swing music, British television sitcoms, and being around family and friends. He was a proud veteran and active member of the Casa Grande, Ariz., Veteran Center. Known for his sense of humor and dedication to family and friends, Ray's mischievous smile and twinkling blue eyes will remain in the forefront of their memories.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at A&E Funeral Services, 603 W Independence St, Shawnee, OK 74804. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance, share stories, and bring photographs to celebrate Ray's life. May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers and in the spirit and commitment to helping others, the family requests donations be made in Ray Marshall's memory to Eagles Landing Veteran Center, 100 E. Florence Blvd., Casa Grande, AZ 85194.
