ENID, Okla. — Service for Beatrice June (Wheeler) Marshall, 79, Hennessey, will be 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church of Hennessey with Paul Babiak officiating and under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.

Bea was born on June 8, 1934 in Lovell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lloyd and Iris Louise Melendy Wheeler, and passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

She was raised in Hennessey, graduating from Hennessey High School. Bea married Hazen Earl Marshall in Hennessey on August 26, 1953.

Bea was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hennessey as well as sunday school teacher, American Legion Auxilary, Surprise Extension Club, Hennessey Child Study Club, FFA Mothers Club, and in 1981 received the Oklahoma Mother of The Year Award.

Survivors include her husband and best friend of 60 years, Earl of the residence; sons, Loy John Marshall of Yukon, and Hazen Clay Marshall of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter, Dian Graft of Port Allen, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Darby Wheeler of Hennessey and sister, Barbara Yeoman of Dover.

Bea was preceded in passing by her parents, and stillborn brother, Lewis Lee. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
