Vickey Jean (Highfill) Marsh

Vickey Jean (Highfill) Marsh
July 6, 1944 ~ June 29, 2014

ENID, Okla. - Memorial service for Vickey Jean Marsh, 69, of Cherokee, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Cherokee. Arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Cherokee.

Vickey passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Enid, Okla. She was born July 6, 1944, to Jack and Lorene Highfill in Cherokee, Okla.

She graduated from Jet High School in 1961.

Her first and greatest love was focused on the care and raising of her great-nephew, Deme Highfill. He was the apple of her eye and the motivation that kept her going.

Vickey had two wonderful dogs, Rocky and Odie, which she will be leaving behind. They will definitely be lost without her.

For the past few years, she had dedicated her time and love to the babies in the nursery at the First Baptist Church.

Before retiring, Vickey had worked as a lab technician at Cherokee, Share, Fairview and St. Marys hospitals.

One of her favorite sayings was: Practice Random Acts of Kindness. This was shown through her daily living as she was loved and will be missed by many.

Vickey, your work on earth is done and your life in heaven has just begun. Dearest Vickey, you have certainly earned your wings!

Condolences may be sent to 419 S. Oklahoma, Cherokee, OK 73728.
