Casey LaCoy Markham
October 4, 1968 ~ February 6, 2023

Casey LaCoy Markham, 54, of Ponca City, OK, passed away on February 6, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 20, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Howard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Casey was born on October 4, 1968, in Oklahoma City, OK. Casey attended Deer Creek- Lamont elementary and high school. He graduated from DCLA in 1986, and he went on to study his upholstery trade at OSU Technical Branch. Over his career, he worked for other companies and for himself. He did everything from auto upholstery, planes, furniture and boats. He was extremely talented and an artist in his field.

Casey met his true match when he met his wife, Stephanie Harden Markham. Casey and Stephanie were two peas in a pod and enjoyed travelling and times at the beach. Casey was also blessed with Stephanie’s son, Chance Pettey in his life. They lived in Texas and Oklahoma over the years but with their love of the sun and the beach, they moved to Florida. He lost Stephanie in February of 2022. This prompted his return to northern Oklahoma where he was surrounded by friends.

Casey was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Raymond and Ernestine Markham and wife, Stephanie.

He is survived by: stepson, Chance Pettey; daughter-in-law, Casey and two beautiful granddaughters, Raegen and Raeleigh; sister, Missy Dumke; brother-in-law, Dean; nieces, Jenna and Jolie, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and amazing friends.
