Carol Lea Malone of Oologah passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2025, in Owasso, OK at the age of 85. Carol was born December 22, 1939, in Timken, KS to Frank Joseph Sell and Jessie Marie (Woods) Sell. She married Lorance Darel Malone on September 12, 1959. They moved to the Oologah area in 2014 from Mulberry, KS. She was a member of Harbor Church in Oologah. Carol’s hobbies included outdoor activities such as gardening, fishing, and camping. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her family, especially the grandbabies. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by 5 children Lorance Tom Malone, Judy Faye Hicks-Elmore, John William Malone, Shannon Arlene Malone, and Jennifer June Myers; 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 3 siblings: Joyce Waplehorst, Frank Sell, Jr. and Jim Jensen, and a host of extended family and friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lorance Darel Malone, 2 sons, Floyd Buck Malone and Robert Lee Malone and 1 daughter: Elizabeth Darletta Malone. She is also preceded in death by 6 siblings: Janice Reed, Rodney Sell, Gary Sell, Suzanne Gaschler Georgianna Jensen and Robert Jensen.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Harbor Church of Oologah with Pastor Brett Rogers officiating.
