A memorial service to celebrate and remember the life of Wilma Sue Mallory will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Friendly Foyil Baptist Church. Wilma passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, December 2, 2024. She was 79.
Born in Claremore, OK on August 19, 1945, to Richard and Irene Elizabeth (Kerr) McCamish Jr. Wilma was raised and educated in the Foyil area and graduated from Foyil Public Schools. On August 6, 1963, Wilma married the love of her life Ronald Mallory. Their marriage was gifted with 3 children, Robert, Deanna, and Shari.
A lady that loved her home and her family. Wilma excelled at being a wife, mother, Ma, and sister. She looked forward to the times her children and grandchildren could all be together. It might be said her smile was the brightest when she heard the word Ma. Wilma had a unique and special relationship with each of her grandchildren. Wilma was an outdoor woman. In fact, according to her family she was just more comfortable outside. Wilma was an avid horse woman, and she could break a colt better than anyone. She knew bloodlines and anything else that was important about her horses. Wilma and husband Ronald raised cattle, and Wilma was right beside him when it came to feeding and taking care of them. She was truly a hard worker that would get things done.
Wilma enjoyed hunting and fishing. She even had an artsy side and liked to do ceramics and painting. Wilma did all the yard work and even found time to raise puppies. When free time did present itself, Wilma liked to watch bull riding or settle in to watch an online cattle auction. A lady that has left a huge footprint and legacy that will live on in the lives of her family and friends.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 61 years Ronald, children, Robert P. Mallory and wife Jessica, Deanna Jackson, and Shari Copenhaver and husband Clay, grandchildren, Ashton Beacom, Lindi Mallory, Tyler Mallory and wife Jasmine, Michael Potteiger, Keely Potteiger, and Jessica Copenhaver, great grandchildren, Preston Mallory, and Marlin Potteiger, sister, Lynda Portiss and husband Bob. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Wanda Fenstermacher and Ann Morgan, brothers, Robert, Charles, and Clyde McCamish.
