Elizabeth Eleanor Magott

Elizabeth Eleanor Magott
February 06, 1921 ~ June 03, 2020

Elizabeth Magott, 99, passed away on June 3, 2020. She was born at home in Harrah Oklahoma. She met her husband of 62 years, Leon Magott on 23rd and Sooner, when her roommate Martha Magott’s brother came to take her home. They married during the war and went to Mt.Home, Idaho where Leon was stationed. A year later Dolores was born, followed by Mary Sue three years later, Carol was born three years after that. Five years later their youngest child, Edie was born. They lived in Boise, Idaho until June of 1967, when Beth, Lee and the three younger daughters moved to Del City, Oklahoma, where Beth provided a loving home for the girls and Leon her husband.

Beth loved to travel in her motor home, cruise and fly anywhere, especially to Las Vegas where she loved to play the slots. Going to the casinos every week was her “job”. She always said she had to “go to work” at the casino to earn spending money. Beth loved to fish and spent 48 Christmases at South Padre Island, TX with family and friends, surf fishing and enjoying the beach.

Her second child preceded her in death from cancer, in 1995. In 2008 her husband Leon died of leukemia. Beth continued to live in her own home until she died of natural causes on June 3rd. She is survived by three daughters, Dolores Burrow and her husband Denny, Carol Hughes and her husband Vernon, and Edie Lynds and her husband David, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Services will be livestreamed on Facebook.
