MEDICINE LODGE, Kansas – J. Paul Homer Magnison, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior, November 18, 2018, at his home in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He was born December 28, 1936, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the son of John Baier and Carrie Faye (Woods) Magnison. He was a farmer and rancher, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Medicine Lodge.

On October 7, 1955, he married Mildred Nancy Harbaugh at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2013.

Surviving are four daughters Nancy (Leon) Winfrey of Plains, Kansas; Mary (Arden) Strole of Wichita, Kansas; Patricia (Allan) Maze of Medicine Lodge; and Paula (Scott) Stoskopf of El Dorado, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Dustin (Kasie) Winfrey, Gimmie Jo (Troy) Jansonius, Weston (Jennifer) Winfrey, Clayton (Ally) Maze, Teddi (Kyle) Winslow, Sean (Heidi) Stoskopf, Bobbie Rae (Jeff) Smith and Sheldon (Trina) Stoskopf; and 15 great-grandchildren, Stuart Rose, Savannah Rose, Dalton Winfrey, Sawyer Stoskopf, Maitland Stoskopf, Dyson Winfrey, Walker Winfrey, Kylee Winslow, Wren Winfrey, Clayton Smith, Dawson Maze, Andi Grace Maze, Wraylee Mae Winfrey, Tex Smith and Baby Winfrey; a brother, Jerry Magnison of Medicine Lodge; two sisters, Emmajo Rucker of Medicine Lodge and Janet Roland of Medicine Lodge; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, John Rockford Magnison.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 23, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, with Pastor Donny Brown and Brother Bill Burkholder presiding. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, Kansas.
