Antonio Maese

Antonio Maese
June 13, 1949 ~ February 29, 2020 (age 70)

On February 29, 2020, Antonio Maese died peacefully after a brief battle with cancer at his home in Moore, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loved ones.

Antonio was born on June 13, 1949, the son of Antolina Orozco and José Maese.

He married Martha Luna Hernández on August 30, 1974 and raised their four children: Antonio, Heriberto, Sindy and Vanessa in El Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico, where Antonio built his house with his own hands.

Antonio spent most of his life working as a laborer in agriculture, growing many types of crops such as cotton, watermelon and potatoes in both Mexico and the United States. He eventually settled with his family in Oklahoma where he did construction and maintenance work on buildings and still enjoyed planting small trees and gardens in his home, taking care of the lawn and spending time with his family. Antonio was very proud of his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Antonio is survived by his wife Martha, two sons Antonio and Heriberto, their two daughters Sindy and Vanessa who live in Moore and southern Oklahoma City; a brother, Jesus Maese of Chico, Texas, his sisters Marielena Vidaña of Muleshoe, Texas; and Luz Tapia from El Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico; and thirteen grandchildren and countless family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Antolina Orozco and José Maese, his brothers Socorro Maese, Rafael Luna, and his sister Josefina Tapia.

Funeral service will be held on March 6 at 2:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home — 500 SW 104th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73139.
