Neal Hershel Mabrey, Jr.

October 29, 1925 ~ October 5, 2020

Neal Hershel Mabrey, Jr., 94, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday October 5, 2020. Neal was born on October 29, 1925 in El Dorado, Illinois to Neal Mabrey, Sr. and Pearl Mabrey. Neal is preceded in death by his parents, his wife LaDeane, and his brother James R “Jim” Mabrey. He is survived by his sons Neal Mabrey III, Larry and wife Jeanie Mabrey, Keith Mabrey, Steve and wife Dana Mabrey, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Neal was privileged to serve in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and after the war in several states and foreign countries. After his military service, Neal worked for the U.S. Government civil service as an electrical engineer. In the early sixties the family settled in Midwest City where Neal lived until his passing.

Neal and LaDeane loved to travel, especially to New Mexico. Neal enjoyed tinkering with electronics, collecting model trains and was a ham radio operator. He attended St. Christopher's Episcopal Church for many years and had many close friends there.

Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 800 S Midwest Blvd, Midwest City, OK 73110.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the church.
