Lester Bruce Lytle
October 26, 1955 ~ January 21, 2026

Lester Bruce Lytle, 70-year-old longtime area resident, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2026, in Pryor. He was born on October 26, 1955, in Rivera, California to Lester Bruce Lytle, Sr. and Bessie Marie (Foreman) Lytle Swift. Lester was a 1974 graduate of Vinita High School. He worked for many years at Eastern State Hospital and continued with Oklahoma Forensic Center in Security. Lester lived in Vinita for many years, also Miami and Pryor. He loved playing softball, riding motorcycles, trading baseball cards, traveling and was a Star Trek fanatic a true “Trekkie.”

Lester was preceded in death by his father and mother, stepfather, Harvey Swift; his siblings, Richard Olinger, Ronald Olinger and Judy Tiderman.

The family includes his best friend Pamela Moore of Pryor; daughter, Deborah Lytle of Miami; son Morgan Lytle of Canada, grandchildren, James Gage Lane, and Colton Cash Lane. Numerous other relatives and many friends.

The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gathering Church at Adair. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. “Vinita’s only locally family owned and operated funeral home.”
