Donna Sue Lykins

Donna Sue Lykins
January 11, 1955 ~ June 7, 2023

Our beloved Donna Lykins passed away surrounded by family on June 7th, 2023 in Bartlesville, Ok. She was 68 years young. She was born on January 11th, 1955 in Bartlesville, Ok to her parents, Rollie and Gladyce Lykins.

She graduated from Sooner High School in 1973 where she sang in the choir. She married Danny McElyea in 1974 and made a home where she raised two sons and later in life had her only daughter. Throughout her life she was an accomplished artist she loved all plants, gardening, cooking, canning, pecan picking, music, arts & crafts, thrift shopping, but her greatest love was for God and her family. She successfully spoiled all her grandchildren, dogs and cats. She worked at Plaza Bank, Dillards and JoAnn Fabrics where she enjoyed selling sewing machines and instructing people on how to create things. She was a fabulous cook and knew just how to season things from her extensive knowledge of plants and herbs. She was adventurous and a rebel who deeply cared about the environment and personal freedom.

Donna is survived by her two sisters Linda and her husband Patrick Bly, Sandra Lykins; three children Jason and his wife Sarah McElyea, Toby McElyea and Karissa Bishop; five grandchildren Brandon Rose, Dylan Sanders, Cameron Bishop, Carmen Hobson and Riley Keyes; two nieces Molly and Kathleen Bly.

A visitation is scheduled on Tuesday June 13th from 9-11 at Stump Funeral home in Bartlesville, Ok with a service to follow at 11am.
