It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nancy L. Lunsford, who departed this life on June 20, 2025, at the age of 88, at Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Nancy was born on June 2, 1937, in Powell, Missouri, and grew up in Springfield, where she attended College High. On August 26, 1960, she married the love of her life, Curtis "Cotton" Lunsford.
Nancy found immense joy in attending rodeos, with a particular fondness for steer roping. She loved cheering on her favorite ropers, Chet Herren and her beloved son, Will Lunsford. Throughout her life, Nancy contributed her talents to Sharps Department Store and Reids Vet Clinic in Nowata, where she was a valued member of the team.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Cotton Lunsford; her son, Will Lunsford; her brother-in-law, Bill Lunsford and his wife Shirley of Delaware; her sister-in-law, Margie Hughes; and her brother-in-law, Eldon Lunsford.
Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
