Peggy Olena (Gibson) Alexander Luckett
January 14, 1932 ~ May 5, 2017

Peggy Olena Alexander Luckett, 85, of Duncan, Oklahoma, was born January 14, 1932, in Nocona, Texas, to Baxter "Blackie" Odell and Alice Dee Phillips Gibson. She passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017. 

Family visitation will be on Monday, May 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, at 10:30 A.M. at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Committal service will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Long Branch Cemetery in Nocona.(TX) Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Peggy attended schools in Bonita, Nocona, and Wichita Falls, Texas and Clovis, New Mexico. She married Oswald Max Alexander in October, 1949. They divorced in June, 1959. 

Peggy first worked for White's Home & Auto warehouse office in Wichita Falls. She also worked for Gibson's in Perryton, Texas, but returned to White's in Wichita Falls until they closed. She then worked for Anthony's until they closed. She moved to Duncan to be closer to family and went to work for the Oklahoma Employment Office. She retired in January 1996 to care for her parents. After her parents passed, she completely retired. She enjoyed going to garage sales, crocheting, crafts, puzzles, sewing, and spending lots of time with her grandchildren. Peggy was a member of the Western Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two children, Susan Gooden and spouse, Bill, of Duncan, Daniel Alexander and spouse, Terry, of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Jay Alexander, of Tomball, Kimberly Bumpas and spouse, Jimmy, of Duncan, Sarah Gooden, of Stillwater, and Joni Sparks and spouse Ryan, of Duncan; five great grandchildren, Austin Tinney and spouse, Jessica, of Moore, Allison Tinney, of Stillwater, Jordan Tinney, of Okmulgee, Avery Sparks, of Duncan, and Brandon Bumpas, of Midwest City; three great great grandchildren, Blakley Tinney, of Stillwater, Elijah Tinney, of Moore, and Marlon Tinney, of Moore ; one brother, Benny Gibson and spouse, Emily, of Tulsa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby Gibson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nocona Long Branch Cemetery or Western Heights Baptist Church.
