The Services Celebrating and Honoring the life of Brett J. Lucas will be held privately. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral home.

Brett was born December 14, 1953 to Gene Lucas and Betty “Jo” Gann in Woodward, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 12, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He moved to Enid as a small child and attended North Enid schools graduating from Enid High School. He then attended Phillips University. He was married to Brenda Johnson on January 16, 1978, in Enid, Oklahoma, and from that union cam one son. He began his career as a short haul truck driver hauling rock. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and loved to pick and refurbish great finds.

He is survived by his son Matt and Jennifer Lucas, of Andover, MN, one granddaughter Olivia; brothers, Mark and Elsie Lucas, of Lake Dallas, TX., Pat and Joleta Lucas, of Fairmont, Kelly Lucas, of Blackwell; and his special friend Tanya Parker, of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
