Christine May "Nanny" (Pigram) Lowden
February 10, 1940 ~ July 1, 2023

Christine "Nanny" May Lowden, 83 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, July 1, 2023 in her home. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Christine Lowden was born on February 10, 1940 in Bushey Hertfordshire, England, one of six children to George Pigram and Marjorie Pigram. Christine was reared in Bushey Hertfordshire, England and graduated from Victoria Girls School in 1958. She immigrated to Stamford Connecticut in June 1962. Where she worked as a nanny and was the primary caregiver to three Children. She then met Jim and they were united in marriage in September 20, 1963 in Stamford Connecticut. They made their home in Stamford Connecticut until 1970 when they relocated to Fort Supply. They were blessed with three children Susannah, Michael, and Lisa.

Christine worked for Western State Hospital as a nurse's aide. She was then promoted to postmaster where she worked for 25 years until she retired. Christine enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, knitting blankets for her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and being around the ocean with her husband Jim. Everyday you could count on Nanny to have a cup of hot tea and a nutty buddy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Susannah Potts and husband Rod of Mooreland, Lisa Hunter and husband Dr. Robert Hunter of Woodward; one son, Michael Lowden and wife Shannon of Fort Supply; nine special grandchildren, Ashley Hort, Alyson Carey and husband Kyle, Rodney Potts, Bradley Lowden and wife Sydney, Tanessa Heaton and husband Laramie, Brayden Lowden, McKenzie Hunter, Hannah Hunter, and Nash Hunter; six great grandchildren; three sisters Ann Walker, Claire Bayliss, Carole Penn; one brother John Pigram; other relatives and many friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Jim Lowden, two parents, George and Marjorie Pigram, one sister, Marion Pigram.
