No services are scheduled for Erika B. Loving, 81, of Marietta.
Born May 8, 1930, in Schweinfurt, Germany, the daughter of Reinhold and Berta Helene Justina Muller Feistkorn, she died Friday, January 13, 2012, in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.
Mrs. Loving had been a resident of Love County since 1973, moving here from Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She and Arthur Louis Loving were married in Bamberg, Germany on April 5, 1960, and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2009.
An Army wife, she was also employed as a factory assembly worker for Hewlett Packard in Colorado Springs in the early 1970’s, and since living here had worked as a caregiver for elderly individuals in their home.
Mrs. Loving enjoyed going to the casino to play the slot machines and bingo, as well as knitting, fishing, playing Yahtzee and going to garage sales. She was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Michelle Loving.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roland K. and Viola Loving of Marietta; two daughters and son-in-law, Lojuana and Russell Slovak of Grand Prairie, Texas and Rosemarie Cook of Sanger, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Kurt and Adelheid Feistkorn of Germany; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosa and Leon Petri, also of Germany; three grandchildren, Roland K. Loving, Kandy Loving and Corey Slovak; and two great-grandsons, Jeremiah Brige and Ethan Loving.
