Kimberly Ann (Murnan) Lopez

Kimberly Ann (Murnan) Lopez
???? ~ November 10, 2021

Kimberly Ann (Murnan) Lopez or "Kiki" as she was known to her grandchildren passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on November 10, 2021. Kim was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer in September of 2020. She fought a brave, but invisible fight. Even at the end the nurses in the hospital commented how great her make-up looked every day! *wink*

Growing up, Kim spent summers on her grandparent's, Alva & Louise Murnan's, farm in Delaware, Oklahoma with her brothers, Rick and Todd. She loved cooking and baking with her grandma, a tradition she passed on to her grandchildren. She would always bring baked goods to swim meets and made it a point to find out your favorite food or dessert so she could make it for you. Her blackberry cobbler, banana nut bread, chicken and noodles, peanut brittle and tamales are some of her family's favorites.

Kim is survived by her husband, John Lopez, daughter & son-in-law, Stormi & Chad Swim, grandchildren, Sydney, Mason & Mackenzie Lopez Martinez, Kirsten Swim, and Leah Ortiz all of Cypress, Texas; father & step-mom Wayne & Luann Murnan of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Those that knew Kim well knew she hated funerals. She asked instead for a Celebration of Life, which will be held December 4, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the Nowata Country Club. In lieu of flowers, and to honor her legacy and fight, we ask that all who wish make a donation in her name to metavivor.org.
