Charles Willis Longshore

October 16, 1933 ~ April 29, 2010

Charles Willis Longshore, son of Willis and Cora (Anderson) Longshore, was born on October 16, 1933 in Little Rock, Arkansas and passed from this life on Thursday, April 29, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 13 days.

Charley was a very independent man who lived his life as he saw it. He was a very sociable and kind man who made friends wherever he went. He liked helping people and sometimes he would either tease or play jokes on them to get them to laugh or make them mad. Charley was also a dreamer because it was always his hope to see his family and children with the things he never had.

Charley was preceded in death by his parents: Willis and Cora Longshore, children: Gale Peters, Timothy Longshore, sisters: Corrina Sirtella, Annie Clucas, Dorothy Galloway, Gloria Cocher and brother: Monroe Longshore.

Surviving Charley are his children: Frances Longshore, Charles Longshore, Jr., James Longshore, Thomas Longshore, all of Skokomish Nation, Washington, Nancy Walunga, Willis Walunga, Alberta Unok, all of Anchorage, Alaska, 23 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, sister: Frances Knight of Stilwell, Oklahoma, nieces and nephews: Jim Galloway, Ronnie Galloway, Paula Bean, Pam Longshore, Kim Longshore, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Gil Hooper officiating.
