Clyde Bennie Longman, Sr.
December 8, 1946 ~ November 23, 2019 (age 72)

Clyde Bennie Longman, Sr., 72, of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Oklahoma City.

He was born on December 8, 1946 in Concho, Oklahoma to Clayton Bernard and Ruby Alice (Johnson) Longman.

Clyde lived most of his life in the Little Axe area.

Clyde was a horse owner and trainer at the Longman ranch early in his life. Then he began his career as a lineman, he worked mostly for private contractors and eventually retired from Pike Electric.

He loved horses, betting on horse races, golfing, watching sports, OU football fan, a Thunder fan and watching westerns.

He was proceeded in death by, his parents; daughter, Twila Morgan; sister, Patricia Slate;

2 brothers, Tosey Spybuck and Lewis Longman; and a grandson, Billy Joe Morgan.

His memory is survived by 2 daughters and son-in-law’s, Shelly and John Taylor of Newalla; and Trina and Larry Duddley of Newalla; son, Clyde Longman, Jr., and James Lewis of Norman; and 6 grandchildren, Sasha Robbins, Cody Simpson, Clay Longman, Amanda Mae, and Nathan Wayne; 3 great grandchildren, Makylea Mae, Henry James, and Wade James; brother, Henry Daniel Longman, Sr. and numerous extended family and friends.

Tribal Rights will be held in the Sunday evening, November 24, 2019 at Brendal Corner. Burial will be Monday morning at the Johnson Family Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
