Charles Arthur Longacre

Charles Arthur Longacre
May 27, 1949 ~ October 2, 2014

Charles Arthur Longacre was born on May 27, 1949, and passed away on October 2, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Arthur Longacre, and his mother, Dorothy Belle Gray, and two brothers, Leonard and Robert Longacre.

Charles married his wife Colleen in 1968 and they raised their family in the Lawton-Duncan area.

In the beginning, Charles was a journeyman for Local 590 IBEW. He then started as a maintenance technician when the Lawton Goodyear plant opened in 1977, and retired as the Facility Maintenance Manager in 2000.

Charles is survived by his wife Colleen, his children Chuck, Candy, and Carey, and his grandchildren Travis, Taylor, and Allison.

He is also survived by his sister Neda Kitchens of South Carolina, his brother Bill Longacre of Florida, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Viewing will be from 3:00-5:00pm on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Whinery-Huddleston funeral home. The memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, October 6, 2014.

Reception will follow at the New Life Assembly of God at 5th and 'B' Avenue in Cache, Oklahoma.
