Eugene Charles "Gene" Long, Jr.

March 10, 1948 ~ August 7, 2003

Gene Long, 55, of Krebs, Oklahoma, formerly of Chickasha, died Thursday, August 7, 2003, in McAlester.

Gene Long was born March 10, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Eugene Charles Long, Sr., and Daisy [Vulgmore] Long.

Gene attended St. Joseph High School in Chickasha, graduating in 1966. He married Lois Hartke in 1973, and to this union his daughter, Kristen, was born.

Gene worked for N. L. Industries and as a Deputy for the Grady County Sheriff Department before leaving Chickasha. He was presently employed with M. I.Drilling. Gene was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Long of Oklahoma City; fiancee, Annie Garman of Krebs; and numerous friends and co-workers.

A memorial service will be held in Krebs, OK.
