Charles Alfred Long

March 02, 1939 ~ November 17, 2019

Charles Alfred Long, age 80 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away November 17, 2019 in Guthrie. He was born on March 2, 1939 in Lovell, Oklahoma to Paul H. and Elva (Campbell) Long.

Charles graduated from Guthrie High School in 1958. He married Helen Schaffler on July 13, 1963. Charles was a veteran if the United States Navy. Over the years he worked for Boeing in Seattle, Washington, a nuclear power plant in Arkansas, and he worked on B-2’s in Dallas, Texas. He retired from Vought Aircraft where he was an aircraft sheet metal mechanic.

Survivors include his wife Helen Long of the home in Guthrie, son Chad Alan Long of Little Rock, Arkansas, son Trent Owen Long and wife Bernadette of Crescent, Oklahoma and grandchildren Courtney Cooke, Brix Long, Jacob Long, and Chyanna Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Elva Long and son Travis Long.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
