Dorothy (Milam) Logue
October 20, 1917 ~ January 15, 2016

Dorothy Milam Logue, retired Bartlesville public school teacher, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at Baylor Hospital Hospice, in Dallas, Texas with family members present. She was 98.

A Memorial Service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at the First Methodist Church, 4715 Price Road, Bartlesville, OK with Dr. Kevin Tully officiating.

Dorothy was born October 20, 1917 to Noolie T. Milam and Florence Gohlke Milam in Chelsea, OK.

Dorothy married Joseph K. Logue and they had two daughters and later divorced.

Dorothy graduated from High School in Chelsea. She attended OCW, ECSU, graduating from NSU. She taught school in Delaware, OK for 2 years and 29 years in Bartlesville.

Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church, 20th Century Sunday School Class, UMW, Mary Circle, and XYZ. She was also a member of The Tuesday Club, Salvation Army Auxillary, Musical Research Society, Retired Educators of Washington County, DAR and Indian Womens Pocahantas Club.

Dorothy was an avid traveler, traveling in the summer while teaching and longer trips after she retired including Australia, New Zealand, China, Africa and India. She took her two daughters to visit 17 countries in Europe. Daughter Pat and Family took her to see a Dallas Cowboy Football Game to celebrate her 85th birthday. Daughter Susan, took her to Orlando, FL to see the space shuttle take off to celebrate her 90th birthday.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her only sibling, W.T. (Tiny) Milam.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat Logue Black and Susan Logue Ott; son-in-law Steve Black; grandchildren, Elise Black Parteli and husband John, Christopher Milam Black and wife Ashley, Jason Bradford Mullen and wife Melodie; great grandchildren, Hayden Elise Parteli, Landry Margaret Parteli, C. Milam Black II, Sinclaire Carlier Black, Emily Lorraine Mullen and Isabella Marie Mullen.

Memorials may be made in Dorothy's name to The First United Methodist Church Building Fund or the charity of your choice .
